About the project
Each group is supposed to create a short PowerPoint presentation in
English . The prepared presentation should contain the basic information about
your country (e.g. population, capital city, traditions etc.), region (e.g.
location, famous cities, local dishes etc.) and hometown (places worth
visiting, a short description of your school etc.).
AIMS
The purpose of the project is
to present our countries and local communities. Students are supposed to find
out interesting facts about foreign cultures and useful information about
different countries . The project will also help the students to develop their
IT skills. It will also show them how to do research and choose the most
important information needed to carry out a project. The presentations are
designed not to be too long. The aim of this restriction is to teach students
how to choose the most important information concerning a particular subject.
WORK
PROCESS
The project will be finished
at the end of April. The teachers who coordinate each group will communicate
every week by email in order to discuss their progress. Students in each group
will be assigned different tasks according to their skills. The teachers are
responsible for choosing the right amount of work matching their students’
abilities.
EXPECTED
RESULTS
A short PowerPoint
presentation prepared by each group.
